The Healer
The latest film The Healer is backed by Ridley Scott Associates and is a co-production with Agility Films. It stars BAFTA-winner Ariyon Bakare, ‘Sherwood’s’ Christine Bottomley and ‘Bird’ breakout teen Jason Buda.
The film is about a troubled teenager enrolled in equine-assisted therapy as a last resort by his desperate mother adrift in counselling waiting lists. The film is now in development as a feature.
Random Acts – The Kaleidoscope Boy
This highly visual short film is about a small boy who retreats into the splendour of his inner world of phosphenes – the light show on the inside of the eyelids that results from the application of pressure.
Channel 4 has confirmed its selection for inclusion on their Random Acts website, with a potential broadcast to follow.
